Hi, I’m Matt, welcome to my web site.
Here is where I like to leave my small marks through the digital realm, not limited to, but generally involving 3D graphics and interactive media.

Since graduating from B. Design: Visual Communication (Hons) at UTS, I’ve been freelancing on projects across a wide range of media, mostly centred around new technologies such as 3D, the web, and video. In 2005/2006 I worked in Amsterdam as a lead artist on the world’s first open movie, Elephants Dream, with a ragtag international crew including four other full time artists and a TD.
Over the last five years I’ve been using Blender a lot for 3D art, and I’ve become very involved with it as a volunteer open source project. After reading John Maeda’s inspirational Maeda @ Media, I realised that the best way to relieve my own frustrations with digital tools is to change them myself, and thanks to open source, I’m able to do so.
In the last few years I’ve been teaching myself programming in C and subsequently have been primarily working on improving Blender’s user interface. Lately I’ve been developing some of my own tools, too.

I like these web sites, maybe you will as well:
Information Aesthetics / BlenderNation / XSIBlog / CGTalk / Motionographer / ConceptArt.org / Processing Blogs / Maeda’s SIMPLICITY / Generator.x / Call me Fishmeal. / Blackbeltjones/Work
